Sami Pirkkanen, yrittäjä also know as is a webshop specialized in whetstones, knives, and accessories related to knives and sharpening.

Webshop was started at the end of 2017 when the founder's hobby with knives and sharpening started to grow large. During that time he realized that it was almost impossible to get quality whetstones from Finland at a reasonable price. It turns out that direct import from Japan was the only sensible option.

We only sells products that we use ourself. We have tested over 100 whetstones from several suppliers, but only those we can openly recommend are included in our selection. Our goal is to offer end users and professionals leading quality whetstones and few selected knives from well-known manufacturers with a reasonable price tag. We also try to keep the most commonly asked whetstone grit levels on stock at all times.

Delivery times

All products listed as “in stock” are in our warehouse and ready to be shipped within the next day.  All products include VAT. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

The estimated delivery time for EU deliveries is 3-8 business days depending on the destination. Finland is covered in 1-2 business days.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a delivery notification.

Payment Methods and Shipment Information

We accept credit card payments & Paypal and IBAN/BIC (SEPA) bank transfers.


All payments are made in Euros. You will see the final Euro price in your shopping basket when paying for the product. 

Refund policy

We accept returns of new, unused merchandise within 14 days from the delivery. Please contact us at to receive return information. The customer is responsible for any return costs unless otherwise agreed to with our customer service. We try to return the money with the same payment method that was used to pay for the order.

After we receive the merchandise and verify its re-sellable condition, we will refund the money. Depending on the item this will take 1-3 days after we have received the item. If there is a delay we will contact you.

Damaged Shipment

In the rare occurrence that the shipment has been damaged, please take pictures and send those to our customer service Also, notify the courier bringing you the shipment that it has been damaged.
